Samoeng orphanage was founded in 1986. There were many children who came to stay and study at nearby schools. Some began with 1st grade or 7th grade. The others began with grades according to their graduated grades from the former schools. There were those who studied at an informal school as well. Some of these children have problems within their families because their parents are addicted to drugs. Some are orphans. And some come from remote places.
Many children who finished their 12th grade went to further study in Chiang Mai City. Some went to Bible College in Bangkok. After graduating, some became ministers of God, and others became nurses, teachers, and accountants. For 22 years, we have been helping these children who have no chance to have a better life and be more beneficial to the society at large.
For this academic year, 18 girls began their schooling at several grades. Most of them are Karen people. The other four girls are Lisu people. Their houses are located on the high mountains and if they are still living there, they will be at risk of drugs.

These two girls came from Bangkok. Their house is located in klongtoey slum, which is a popular drugs area. Many of their friends are addicted to drugs. So they were almost addicted to drugs as well. But someone had sent the older one to stay here five years ago. Now she is in 11th grade. And then she will be able to enter a university because her GPA is 3.5. The younger one just came here. Actually she is 12 years old, but she is still in 4th grade. This is a ministry God has given me to do by helping children to improve their lives together with knowing God and believing in God. To God be the glory. Please pray for us.
Rossuporn and Pannita are fatherless; they live with their mother. She is an alcoholic; she has been in mental hospital for sometimes, because she acts like a crazy person. She often mistreated her daughters. Thus, they asked to stay at Samoeng Church’s dormitory.
